in 1966 Buick was offering three Gran Sport cars Skylark, Riviera, and Wildcat, but you couldn't get a full size car with a 4 speed, '65 was the last year for those. I've never heard of the Wildcat GS before, or even seen one, so here's a good look at a couple

  1. In that era Buick always put the biggest number they could on the air cleaner. Of course 465 is not the cubic inch displacement - it is the claimed maximum torque figure. It has been confusing the unsuspecting ever since.

    1. Lol, yeah, they sure did screw that up. They had a 455 Dual quad, I heard... but were trying to push the torque number instead? Goofy

  2. The biggest version of the nail head engine was 425 cid. I believe there was a dual quad version of it. For 1967 there a completely new engine - 430 cid, later 455. Lots of stuff on the teambuick website. No more dual quad after 1966 as far as I can see.

  3. Going by the info in this link the advertised torque figure was the same for one or two carbs.
