the Bloodhound LSR project has found a rich person willing to spend their fortune, and will be at Hakskeen Pan, South Africa in October

The vehicle will hit the track in October for the first time since its relaunch, with the team announcing plans to carry out high-speed testing in a South African desert.

At Hakskeen Pan, South Africa in October, the team will be looking to hit speeds of 500 mph (800 km/h). It sees this as a key milestone and full dress rehearsal for the proper record attempt, and will be using data from hundreds of sensors embedded in the car to understand how it behaves at high speeds.
