1939 A gift from the Polish chimney sweeps to the army, a machine gun on the eve of the German attack

  1. I'm not sure if date is correct, such "gifts" were popular throughout late 20's and all 30's. People made contributions towards some goal, machine gun, artillery piece, car, tankette ect. This photo is from one of museum archive in city of Łódź, but pity they don't have online achieve that you could visit and check if photo have date data on it.

    But for some additional info. That's Ckm wz. 30 (heavy machine gun 1930 Pattern) on single horse carriage called Biedka. It was used to carry different type of military equipment. A better photo from National Archives. https://audiovis.nac.gov.pl/obraz/87440/
