Dodge Royal in blue

Last of the rocket age car symbols I think
Just show this to some young person who has no idea what a typewriter was, or a pushbutton transmission... ask them if they can figure out what the thing is.. ... without looking at any other photos in this post

This is a handle on the back of the front seat

Looks like the BMW white and blue shield to me... there's got to be a connection or ripped off design

One thing leads to another, a cool guy, a cool restored tractor, an incredible guy who invented stuff and succeeded at a wide variety of things!

Faced with the task of clearing the massive acreage needed for Lake Texoma, he and his father invented a mobile circular saw.
When he wanted to plant a World War II Victory Garden but didn't need a farm tractor, he invented and manufactured the Jaques Mighty Mite, a little tractor for small acreage.
Still later, while clearing land for the Tennessee Valley Authority, he invented and manufactured a hydraulically controlled earth auger to set utility poles.
He did it all with a GED education.
John Jaques had to drop out of high school to help support his family. His father had tuberculosis and could not work.
During the Great Depression, Mr. Jaques was a stone mason for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He did the cornerstones for a lot of the buildings for the CCC, they chose him because he was such a perfectionist.

He next worked as a cook, then he entered construction work, which led to a contract to clear land for Lake Texoma. He needed a fast, efficient way to cut timber, so he invented the Jaques Power Saw.
Its popularity led to the creation of the Jaques Power Saw Co. in Denison.
During World War II, Jaques Power Saw Co manufactured two-wheel Jeep trailers for the military.

Effects of running into the back of the vehicle in front it... I suspect the battery posts contacted the hood

Doom and Gloom is all Autonews.com has to offer

Without a solution to the worst management across the industry, the big 3 in Detroit are likely to simultaneously self destruct, drag down suppliers, dealers and even import automakers.

The loss of business from GM or Chrysler is likely to bankrupt suppliers. Then since those suppliers also supply Ford, this domino effect could grow, affecting all of the big 3's dealerships.

So... ready to hear some screaming from stockholders? Today the price of GM dropped to the lowest it's been since 1945, about 3 dollars US. If you are interested in consequences of criminal mismanagement, golden parachutes, and what happens when lousy customer service, lousy quality, and lousy gas mileage all culminate at a historic time of record high oil prices, lots of competition from better performing, higher quality, and better gas mileage foreign manufacturers.... give the news a little attention every day to see what solution is arrived at.

I'm forecasting irresponsible political intervention in a supposed free market capitalist country where competition used to be allowed to thin the herd of the fat, slow, corpulent, and failing. There is a reason so many car makers went out of business in the 40's 50's and 60's, Nash, Studebaker, Crosely, Duesenburg, Packard, Kaiser, and so on. There is a reason Plymouth and Oldsmobile were canned in the past decade. Sometimes you have to cut away the diseased area to save the rest.

Only the strong survive.

The funniest sales pitch I've ever read.. from "The Best of Craigslist"

Totally Awesome Kick Ass Motorcycle
---------------------------------------------------------Date: 2008-09-22, 5:44PM

Motorcycle for sale:

There comes a point in every mans life where he feels the need to pass down some history or perhaps a legacy, this time is now. For the low price of $700 you too may become a bad ass. This motorcycle is not just a way of transportation, it is a way of life. The side of the gas tank says Yamaha which loosely translates to "Kick Ass Stealth Ninja Motorcycle". I stole this motorcycle from Chuck Noris after I gave him a swift roundhouse kick to the face. I also broke off his arm and signed the title with it to my name from him so it is all legit and legally mine to sell now.

Some of the lens covers on the turn signals are broken but if you think that stops me from turning you are sadly mistaken. The first rule I learned in the Mount Tokachi Ninja Training Camp was never tell your enemy what direction you intend to go. I have found this to be a excellent creed or motto to live life by.

I will not admit to how many of the miles have been used for ninja missions however I can tell you that all of the 4693 miles are actual road miles.

There are a few rusted parts on this bike, but that only shows everybody how bad ass you are and that if they were to question you they could be killed instantly. Most of the parts could be replaced with non rusty parts if you wanted to blend in to the common mortal and practice stealth skills by hiding in plain sight.

This motorcycle has 4 speeds in the transmission and all of them are completely capable of causing instant death. I have known the common man to reach speeds of 70 mph I will not comment on the top speed that a skilled ninja rider may accomplish, this you shall find on your own.

The gas cap on this motorcycle is locked by key, that tells possible gas thief's to screw off unless they are prepared to deal with a ninja ass kicking right to the face. If you are still uncertain of how bad ass this actually is you wont need to look further than the front fender complete with scull and cross bones, the graphics tell sissy gutless men to take off or be prepared for punches of lightning to pour down upon them.

If you email me asking about being "firm" on the price I will tell you right now that I am NOT. $700 is only my starting price, you may want to pay me more after you would see it in person. If you think you can email me and ask me to sell if for less you could just as well save me the effort and punch yourself in the balls because that is what I might do and you are most likely a sissy and not worthy of this motorcycle. If you are from Africa and try to scam me do not waste my time because I will swim across the ocean and find you in your dirty hut and judo chop your face with an ultimate punch right to the face.

I may email you more pictures if you need to see more. Ninja fighting weapons are not included.

British car show, annual San Diego gathering of great cars, like Rovers, AC, Anglia, Rolls Royce, Jaguar and many more

Rare gear selector

The only reason this Rolls Royce was photographed is because of the NHRA sticker in the back window... what a contrast of vehicular taste
