the 40th World of Speed at Bonneville is cancelled, the water is 8-10 inches deep at the end of the access road
The first mile of course 1 is really rough and wet there’s a slight possibility for it to dry out the section between the 2 1/2-3 in time to prep the course for racing but there is lots of water just 200 feet off the mountain side of course 1.
Course 2 is trashed past the 2 and soaked with lots of standing water
Sad this year because I was booked to drive down for W.o.S.. Went first in 2024, wanting to go back again.
ReplyDeletedang it.. the El Nino effect, and climate change/global warming in general, is making annual events experience different weather more often. I read that this winter will likely be colder and snowier too
