Very clean but probably a street car as the cage isn't legal for NHRA. Anyone building a cage can download the free NHRA Rule Book. https://www.nhraracer.com/Files/Tech/2025%20NHRA%20Rulebook.pdf
no, it's a Holman Moody built stock car racer from back in the day. I don't bother trying to show anyone what the rule books have, that's not interesting to me, and I don't post anything I don't find interesting
For any circle track car that is a pretty skimpy cage by any standards. No X or single diagonal tube to protect the drover's neck/head. Like wise on the drivers side protection. Also no diangulatr tube behind the drivers head back into the trunk area which also stiffens the rear frame section. I would find it very hard this car would ever pass any tech inspection of any organization. Very nice work but I have my doubts. Just saying..
you judge it by modern standards, not by the standards of the year Holman Moody made that car a racer, and installed that cage. https://public.fotki.com/gwadagone/sixties-nascar--dec/dan15b1.html#media is the source. I just share the pretty pictures. Likely that that car is only about 5 to 10 years into the cage even being in the rule book.
