It's pretty cool that people are motivated to recondition certain items. But if I was gong to go thru all the time and expense to do so, I'd definitely would have powder coated the finishes
What a labor of love! Beautiful machine/ When the restorer starts the motor you realize that it is relatively quiet, unlike the noisy vacuum cleaners of most makers. Incidentally, the German-made Miele is quiet. But this Bissell is from 1914!
