Bruce is still trying to appeal to paycheck to paycheck fans, at ticket prices for millionaires. NFW Bruce, you haven't had a good new song since the 80s

What the fuck are white walls doing on that Camaro?

    1. I haven't heard a thing about it, but it wouldn't surprise me, some one online was talking about his act of common man appeal the other day, but how there isn't any substantial proof that he has anything but a blue collar persona in order to sell records and concert tickets. Yeah, I get that. And he hasn't had a single song that was appealing since the 80s. At least the Stones, ZZ Top, and other 40 and 50 year touring groups have had good new music since the 80s. U2, AC DC, etc have had recent good songs, and hits, and what was Bruce's last good song? Glory Days?

  2. I think you just listen to top 40 radio or stuck in a groove of your own...........His music, like sooooooo many others, simply doesn't get air play on the radio. I could go on into detail, but maybe you should look around and get some fresh air on multiple, aging artist......seek and you will find grasshopper. ;-)~

    1. you guessed wrong, but I can understand why you'd suppose I only listen to top 40.
I listen to classic rock, EDM, big band, the 60s, 70s, 80's and Beatles channels on Sirius XM, and ch 12 (pop hits) and on Pandora I listen to Chill Out Radio, Chill Trip Hop Radio, Portishead Radio, Five for Fighting Radio, and Classical Guitar.
That's when I'm not listening to cds. Most of mine are 90s hard rock / heavy metal, and then 2000s women singers like Dido, Enya, Nora Jones, and Vanessa Williams... then there's the classical music.
But I don't listen to music that sucks, and it's easy to see what sucks, it doesn't become popular. Music that is good, or just novel and catchy, sells a lot, becomes popular, and gets a lot of airplay on radio, commercials on tv, and picked to be in movies and tv shows.
So, if I haven't heard or been listening to something, it's probably because it sucks.
Bruce's music, like recent Madonna, Prince, Ozzy, Rolling Stones, etc etc doesn't get played because they aren't making music that MOST people want to listen to. Aka, it sucks.
There is a lot of interesting music, like that one hit wonder by Portugal the Man, for example, or Muse.
In YOUR opinion, I should look around.
Have you not noticed? For the past 16 years, I've been looking around, and sharing just the car stuff on this blog.
I have 12 other websites, Tumblrs, Facebook pages, etc.
It's all stuff I find from looking around that I share.
I go to 4 major national conventions every year. CES, SEMA, Comic Con, and Con Expo.
I'd say I'm getting out and about, to a vast variety of stuff, online and in person, enough to be full of what you called "fresh air"
as for listening to aging artists esoteric self involved bullshit that they think their fans want to buy another album of... no.
Ozzy's best was in the 80s 90s, so was Metallica's, Springsteen's, etc. After most musicians and groups reach 40, they're done making good stuff. Their best is almost always in their 20s.
Why those with the most experience can't make a hit song to save their careers? I have an idea, but, you probably disagree with everything I have said about music, so, what's the point of sharing another opinon?
Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, etc, are all 50 year groups, Elton John, and others, like Ozzy... they are still around, but only because they tour with their best classic stuff from when they were in their 20s and 30s
No, I won't waste my time on your idea of listening to Springsteen's recent stuff. You do it, you can have my share.
Even Eddie Van Halen peaked young. All the greats do.

  3. Hey Jess, get over yourself. You have a great blog, but you question why people want to see a artist of their liking?.....Frankie said it best, relax.

    1. thanks for the compliment! I never questioned that, but I can see how anyone would misinterpret what I meant.
I know WHY people want to see an artist they like, even ones they don't care for much who put on a great show... the live performance is so awesome compared to listening to speakers at home or in your car.
So, yeah, I understand that, and never questioned it.
You missed what I said - Bruce has a fake marketing image, of a regular guy, but charging thousand dollars and up per ticket for most of a stadium conflicts with that image.
Yes, that Camaro in the photo IS his. https://driving.ca/auto-news/news/inside-bruce-springsteens-car-collection-including-his-super-bowl-ad-jeep
But he doesn't drive it, or the other cool cars in his collection, unless it's to a publicity photo shoot. He drive his Range Rover and his Grand Cherokee. The cars are museum pieces. Nice to own, and be known for, but, if you don't drive them, they're art pieces, like a Picasso. Bruce probably has a Picasso too...
Can you agree I didn't question why people want to see an artist of their liking?

    2. also, am I wrong that he hasn't had a good new song since the 80s? If you agree that I'm right about that, then we do not disagree on anything, and my post was on point. And what the fuck are whitewalls doing on that Camaro? That's a millionaire with no connection with maintaining his cars.
