  1. If the tapered sections look a bit uneven, it's because of the way they are made. Two pieces are cut from thin steel sheet and the edges welded together. A Zerk fitting is also welded on one end. You use an ordinary grease gun to pump 10,000 psi grease in between the plates and they balloon up to the desired shape.

    1. wow, thank you for the insight into the fabrication method! I've never heard of that one, and dang, there's a risk of that going all wrong, and POOF! 10,000 psi grease suddenly escaping. I wonder if it would flash to oil, mist, or a stream of grease
