There is an annual float plane fly-in on Lake Pleasant in Speculator NY every year. I went to one approximately 20 years ago and one of these showed up. It landed but it was so windy it got blown onto the sandy beach where the show was located. After the wind died down it took if l remember correctly, six power boats to pull it back into the water deep enough that it could navigate under it's own power. It was pretty cool to watch.
