Why do they call it a Dilly Bar?

 A couple of brothers who supplied ice cream mix stopped by, and somebody poured a swirl of ice cream on paper, stuck a stick in it and dipped it into chocolate. “Somebody said that's really a dilly,” and the name stuck


  1. Took awhile to realize that the TA on the door is a prefix to the phone number and not a state abbreviation. Now wondering what TA stood for. My parents phone number back then was FL6-xxxx. Flanders.

    1. it was Hudson New York, if that is any help. I don't know how they determined the prefix, or why they went with two letters and 5 digits. Obviously, only numbers were going to be dialed. Maybe it was a memory aid?
