California spends 2.5 times the national average to build one mile of road

The Caltrans spokesman said that California’s state roadways are larger and more congested than in other states, making them more expensive to build and maintain.

However, one guy running for office is going on a election campaign saying that it costs 4 times as much in California as it does in Texas.
