Armour and Company, founded in Chicago in 1867, had this clever ad for it's byproduct laundry detergent


Armour and Company was a meatpacking firm that, used every last part of the animals to max out profits and reduce it's disposal bills. 

Among its animal byproducts were glue, oil, fertilizer, hairbrushes, buttons, oleomargarine, pharmaceuticals and, shown here, White Flyer Laundry Soap.

The airplane is a Bleriot XI, and had a particularly cool landing suspension
