one of the Jack London's greatest friends and it is his sculpture of Jack London that holds the honor today of adorning the entrance to the Jack London State Historic Park up in Glen Ellen.
By 1921 he had moved to southern California where he was active as a sculptor for the movie industry. He ran Frölich's School of Sculpture in Hollywood from 1924-44 and spent his last three years as an instructor at the Carmel Art Institute.
in 1926 he sculpted the race car and driver, modeled after racer Tommy Milton. https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2025/08/sept1923-tommy-milton-heading-for.html
The sculpture served as a model for large-scale monuments installed at Richfield service stations around the city as advertisements.
He retired in Carmel, on the beach, in a trailer he designed and built himself
Unusual coincidence that I happen to have taken a photo of this trophy at Speedfest 2006, or a copy of it, since it's obviously similar, but the drivers head is on the opposite side
