When Russ Johnson parked his 1967 SS396 Camaro on a dirt floor in a pole barn behind his house in Wisconsin in 1975, he had no idea the Bolero Red coupe would remain parked in this same spot for the next 43 years.

Not only did someone take some great upclose photos of the New Zealand McDonalds DC3, but it's recently got a new paint job too (Thanks Steve!)
Since 1990 the disused DC-3 plane was parked beside the McDonald's restaurant in Taupo, New Zealand. It has 56,282 hours of flight
Eileen Byrne, the restaurant's 59-year-old owner, says: 'The site was previously part of a car dealership, the Aeroplane Car Company, and the owner bought a disused DC-3 plane, which sat alongside the building.
'And when McDonald's purchased the site in 1990, the aeroplane came with it.
Built in 1943, the plane was one of three used by New Zealand's South Pacific Airlines from 1961 to 1966
ZK-CAW Delivered to the USAAF in October 1943, the aircraft was later sent to Australia and between 1947 and 1961 was owned by a succession of Australian airlines. Purchased by SPANZ (South Pacific Airlines of New Zealand, competition for the government-run NAC), it was imported to New Zealand and named George Bolt. When SPANZ went out of business the aircraft passed to rivals NAC, who leased to Fiji Airways and then to Mt Cook Airlines, until it finally became part of Feildair’s topdressing fleet in 1972.
The aircraft was withdrawn from service in 1984 having completed 56,282 hours. In 1989 the aircraft was towed to Taupo where it was refurbished, painted, and displayed as a feature of the Aeroplane Car Company’s car yard. By late 1990 George Bolt had become an extension of the McDonalds restaurant next door,

1980 Lamborghini Countach Turbo Chassis 1121160
Max Bobnar was very involved with the Lamborghini factory and was the Swiss Lamborghini Distributor. In the early 1980s Bobnar built two prototype Twin Turbo Countach examples, this metallic red low body LP400 S, and a black one
Chassis 1121160 started its life as a Series II Low Body 1980 Lamborghini Countach. Delivered new to Lamborghini importer Max Bobnar, the car was prominently shown and used around Europe.
There is a very famous photo of Valentino Balboni and Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini standing in front of Chassis 1121160 parked adjacent to the famous Bleau Miura Walter Wolf Countach.
Between 1980-1982 Bobnar had the car converted to Twin Turbo specification by master technician Franz Albert, painted the car a stunning metallic Red, added a very unique side skirts.

The wild days of youth, when America had cars, but few police, and none with radios. Not much in the way of having fun, at your own risk, and actually living a life of freedom and liberty.
Sure, you can whine about safety, all damn day long if you like. But, why bother me with it?
I like high octane, stunts, cars without airbags, and that fundamental principle that some guys started a new country with, freedom from tyrants.
freedom to have a race down a country road with a fast car and a friend with a plane, who didn't have to log 1000 hours with a school, and student loan debt, to fly a damn airplane that didn't have to have an FAA inspection every 12 months, and an engine rebuild, and all the other costs that destroyed cheap airplanes for EVERYONE that wanted to buy one instead of a car and jump from municipal airport to airport and live a full life of adventure.
Anyone could make a car, or car company, and flying wasn't something just for trust fund babies in the Rockefeller or Kennedy clans. You got the nerve? Jump in, get someone to show you how to fly, and land, and bingo, you're on your own kid, don't crash it.
Back when the govt didn't tell you what you could drink, eat, smoke, or do in your free time. When you could open carry, or conceal carry. When a beer was part of lunch, and if you wanted to walk down the sidewalk with a beer, not in a brown paper bag, fine. Enjoy the can o suds! When cops walked a beat, knew the store owners, kept kids out of trouble, and showed them how to make an apple crate into a downhill racer (don't let your mom see this kid)
Back when Norman Rockwell and the other painters made cool stuff come alive, with humor. Before the beatniks, and the hippies, when people were excited to get a ride in a car, or plane, or even a movie theater experience. When Assman (pronounced "Oss-men") applied for a personalized licence plate, his request was denied.
the Saskatchewan Government Insurance, which manages vehicle registration, called the name an "unacceptable slogan."
The Melville, Sask., man has immortalized his last name on the back of his truck with a large decal that looks like a giant Saskatchewan licence plate.
"It's just a name, and censorship should be out of the window," Assman said.
He would still like the licence plate, but he is happy with the decal.
Assman said the government seems to want to "cater" to those who may be offended by the name rather than give him the freedom to display his name.
Assman said he filed an appeal Tuesday of SGI's decision not to give him the licence plate and that SGI denied the appeal that same day.
As it happens, there are no limitations on Assman displaying his name.
“For the life of me I cannot think of any charge that could possibly be laid under the Highway Traffic Act or the Criminal Code,” said Rob King of the RCMP.
“It’s my name,” Assman said. “It’s not slander, it’s not a slogan, it’s nothing. It’s just a name.”

Germany’s largest airline, Lufthansa, is suing a passenger who skipped the last leg of a booked flight, to save 2500 dollars in a clever plan called “skip lagging.”
Skip lagging is a money-saving method where passengers leave their flight at a layover instead of the final destination. For example, a traveler hoping to go to Dallas could book a cheaper flight to Seattle with a layover in the Texas hub.
Airlines aren’t fans of the manuever as it can delay flights, but it gives them an excuse to raise fares
In the Lufthansa case, the unnamed passenger was supposed to fly to Oslo from Seattle via Frankfurt in April 2016. However, he skipped a connecting flight and returned from Frankfurt to Berlin on a separate ticket.
So far, courts haven’t been on the airlines’ side of this battle.
In this case, a lower court in Germany has already ruled in the passenger’s favor, but Lufthansa is appealing. It’s rare for an airline to pursue this action and even rarer for it to pursue it this vigorously.

oh yippee, robocop is on the job in New Hampshire because people haven't fully removed all snow from their vehicles. Oh, how, did they ever, survive, before he came along?
One New Hampshire police officer went on a ticket-writing spree following a snowstorm on Wednesday, stopping 21 vehicles over a four hour period, issuing 19 tickets and taking two people into custody.
17 of the tickets were issued to drivers who failed to clear snow and ice from the top of their vehicles.
