I don't understand... seatbelts might not, probably weren't, factory installed.
I've often wondered if seatbelts are a plus or a minus in a roofless vehicle. The windshield frame isn't going to support much in a rollover, but conversely, the Oldsmobile would possibly provide room to duck, unlike the tiny British cars I drive.
