I admire all the innovation artists like Hank Porter went through to create a hot rod, or jalopy, and came up with regular junkyard ideas, with excellent clever twists

One of Hank Porter’s earliest pieces created for the cover of the October 1940 issue of Liberty magazine.

Porter created a patriotic-themed illustration that featured Donald and his jalopy, with a “1776” license plate, the Liberty Bell, the scales of justice, and the torch from the Statute of Liberty.

I get a kick out of the stars and stripes fenders, lightning strike bumper, and the stars on the rims
