Not sure what year that MC is but I do know that it is a electric start Harley Davidson Sportster. I had a 69 XLH electric start. My riding pardner had a 1970 kick start and it was brutal to get started at times. I wish I had kept mine but sold it and bought a 57 FLH 74 in a straight leg rigid frame that eventually set me on a long path of building custom frames up to just a few years ago. The true prize I bought was a bone stock 1947 74" Knucklehead that was issued to the US Navy. When I sold that bike I kept the leather saddle bags and still have them. To many "incidents" and just getting old means there will be no more riding in my lifetime but damn it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI was just adding to this post to fill it in more... it was a 1975 HD Z90.
DeleteWow, a bone stock 1947.... dang, you must have had a lot of guys offering to buy it from you!
Sold it to Les Cramier in Memphis best recall. Also sold him a complete Panhead in a stock rigid frame. Used bikes weren't that expensive in those days. After I moved to Texas I bought a complete running 1957 straight leg rigid frame 74ci Panahad for $300 dollars. Those days are gone forever.
