SEMA photos will begin to get posted in less than 14 hours

I was able to cover the inside of all halls, except the Westgate Hotel, which has had several convention rooms full of stuff in the past, I don't know if it did this year

I didn't cover the outside stuff, as it was hot out, and I was busy from the time I arrived til 4 pm, when my right knee started hurting too much to walk any farther than the car, 4 city blocks away, and parked for free. I will not waste money on parking when I'm going to be walking all day long. That makes no sense.

My knee quit working by the time I made it to the car... I think that I must have walked about 20-25 miles based on last years metered walking, but that phone died last December, and I forgot to set up the new phone to measure the walking. Last year I averaged 18 miles a day, if I recall correctly, and today I walked more than any day at last years SEMA

After pizza with Steve (Thanks Steve!) and a 5 hour drive back to San Diego, it's bending again... painfully, but I seriously doubt it's anything more than tendonititis (Tennis elbow symptom of a repetitive motion strain type thing)

  3. Thanks for toughing it out to get us our annual SEMA coverage. I'm glad you were still able to get to Vegas with your new job.

    1. well, the new job didn't work out, but neither did the typical week in Vegas for SEMA. Mike's going through a move, house sale, pack out, etc so he couldn't make it, his wife is my usual cat sitter, and so my cat had to just hang out alone for 24 hours (not the worst fate) but I simply couldn't do more than one day. After all, I'm not back among the unemployed. But I'll be danged if I won't get there for at least one day. I walked about 20-25 miles, hit all the halls, and the Optima area, but wow, that really did a number on my legs, hips, ankles, and my right knee quit working like a knee on the last 1/2 mile to the car after the show. It was a little better when I got home 6 hours later, the knee is now ok, but the legs are so damn sore.
