Chrysler innovations

 power steering, anti lock brakes, oil filter, downdraft carbs, cruise control, electronic fuel injection, disc brakes, wind tunnel testing, cup holders, rubber engine mounts.

  2. I took the time to read the article. It is interesting. I had known of some of these innovations. As one who drives using cruise control, it is a favorite item of mine. Of note, the 1902 Lanchester had disc brakes. Unfortunately, they were too weak to last very long. However, Mr. Lanchester of England was also an innovator. In order to repair the Chrysler disc brakes of 1949 through 1954, the repair bill for a complete job was $300.00 at that time. I learned this from a coworker at Chrysler who was a service representative. $300.00 was five-to-six times the average man's rent for an apartment! Great article.
