Curiosity got the better of me so had to go looking. Based on the paint scheme the Miller Ford at El Mirage was likely the car Ted Horn drove at Indy in 1935. It was a DNF, as were the other three entered, all with the same mechanical issue. Interestingly, Harry Miller is shown on Speedway records as car owner, but we all know who really owned them. Nice YouTube clip here featuring the car in 1935, including pics of Horn and his riding mechanic Bo Huckman. Also, looks like Harry Miller keeping the inspection team (?) honest.
Well lookeee here...a Miller Ford at 1:17.
