just last week I was wondering about production cars with the smallest wheels, and this past weekend I came across this Fiat 500, and they have 12 inch rims

  1. Didn't the Austin mini have 10 inch wheels?

    1. yes, most Classic Minis produced before 1984 came with 3.5" x 10" rims and 145/80-10 tires.
But I didn't find a Mini here at this car show, I found this Fiat, and wanted to make a point of posting it to show I'm on the job of tracking down SMALL tires and rims while out looking at cars.
Having posted it, it becomes part of the searchable database which my blog can show, with a simple click of the tag/link for both rims, wheels, and Fiat. It's nice to have the info, nearly an encyclopedia's worth, about everything car related

    1. That's what people said about the Mini's small wheels when the car was launched. Then race and rally wins started piling up, and put an effective end to that discussion.

    2. he was referring to the cracked casing on the side wall... dry rot from old age or being stored a long time with not enough air in them I suppose.

  3. My 1987 Pontiac Firefly (Chevrolet Sprint, Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Forsa) has 12" rims as well.
