David just sent me this (how cool!) Thanks David!

A little something you’ll like. Absolutely true.

My friends Angela and Andrew have been married for about 35 years, having wed in a church in Haslemere, Surrey. They still live within walking distance of that church. As a bride, Angela was taken to the wedding in a Daimler Mk 10 that belonged to her father. Father died in the mid 1980s, not long after the wedding.

This August their son (Ian, named after Angela’s late father) is marrying in the same church, and his bride fancied a ride to the church in a classic car of some sort. Not fussy about what, but a limo rather than a sports car.

Angela and Andrew decided to go down the the local annual car show on Lion Green in Shottermill, Haslemere – you blogged about it a few years ago. The plan was to find something suitable and ask the owner if it could be hired for the day.

Partway around the show they spot an unattended Daimler Mk 10. Angela recognised the car – it was the same one her father owned all those years ago. The owner eventually returned, and when they asked if the car could be rented offered its use for free.

Just a nice thing to share with you....
