So very very underwater... and these guys have no idea how to pull it out... and they have no shackle attachment at all on the back of their dozers to hook both of the dry ones together to double up on pulling power

  1. Twenty years ago the sand mine I was a loader drive in lost a 300hp Cat front end loader into the creek from which we were mining sand. Not just under water but the operator (not me) put it half under the sand just attempting to wiggle it out. Then it kept sinking and had to be tethered to stop loosing it. You could not even see the roof of the cab. Effectively had to dig a long ramp down to it and towed it with the D8 and a 800 series Kato excavator. They had apparently lot them completely before never to be seen again.

    1. Wow. Imagine being out Digging a ditch or something, and hitting the roof of something that sank in too far to get dug out, and was written off, eventually to sink out of sight and get forgotten, and then decades later you come along digging and clank a blade off it.
