Destined for Aston Martin company owner David Brown to use as his personal transportation, this car ended up wrecked by the mechanic that took it racing, after his wife cheated on him with the owner. He drove it into the sea after winning the Gosport Speed Trials in April 1958

It then starred in the movie "School For Scoundrels"

I am not making that up.

    1. and it did my heart good to learn about this and share it. There's not enough happy stuff out there. Ain't he just a delight though? Wouldn't it be a hoot to spend some time talking with him?
Speaking of, how've YOU been? I don't think I've heard from you lately (as I can't recall very well, too busy on the family tree, and what a lot of surprises THAT has been... Salem witch trials killed one great grandmother, accused 5 others, and one was acquitted because she could FLOAT when given the witch test - those that drown when tossed into a river, bound hand and foot, are witches, those that float are graced by god with good happy floaty angelic stuff, and aren't witches. Just one example of the shocking stuff I've come across)
But I digress, how are you, and have you been weathering this self isolation/quarantine with interesting things to do? Or bored silly? Wait, bored? I should hope I've helped a little to alleviate that, at least once a week for a few minutes, though posting has been very little the past couple weeks as I am nearly finished on my family tree, but must work harder as my subscription runs out next week
