AYFKM? Look at these build sheets that survived 60 plus years under the carpet

Yikes, that is not a good looking front end. Will it bull dozer it's way through a traffic jam? Probably.  This looks to me like the epitome of funky 50s design

Love these taillights... damn, that is a cool design

Found on Chris's facebook page, cause damn, he still puts out great content.

  1. You know, Hollyweed has put out some car horror movies where producers think they have to change the cars appearance to make it look scary. This Merc would need hardly anything done to it, and it would work beautifully. B-T-W, that must have been quite a discovery when the owner pulled back the trunk mats.

  2. It is amazing to see how build sheets sometimes hold up better than the rest of the car. I"m a Ford guy through and through, but the styling on those late 50's FoMoCo products...what were they smoking? George Walker, Joe Oros and Elwood Engel were responsible for the bigger and bigger chrome encrusted gimick laden cars of of the late 50's. And yet when left to design for themselves Oros came up with the '58 T-bird, and Engel the 61 Continental. Weird.
