I noticed something odd when looking at this Prius, there is something mounted up inside the rear view mirror

That's a lot of something... I don't know what. Probably a dash cam I suppose

  1. Same as my 2018 Volvo and many other modern cars. That's where they put not "dashcams" but many of the sensors that run lane-keeping, adaptive cruise and other semi-autonomous driving aids. You need to get current.

    1. lol, You think there's anything worth posting about in new vehicles? Not me. Some curious stuff like this, but new cars are boring to look at, can't be worked on if the steering, brakes, fuel, or ignition systems need repair.

  2. Pretty sure that's part of the collision avoidance system. The wife's Mazda has the same bulbish looking thing

  3. For some reason it reminds me of Crow, from MST3000

  4. That's Auto Alexa's facial recognition system so it can start the car and warm it up when it spots you 2 blocks away. It'll talk at you too, no extra charge.
