I wonder how many car companies used rock n roll stars to try and sell cars, there had to be a lot, not as many as tv and movie stars though

  1. In 1985 I bought a used car from a Pontiac dealer. While waiting all the paper work the sales man handed me a scratch off ticket to win a prize. I won a Hall and Oats album. Now I know a little bit more of the story and I bit every ticket was a winner.

    1. Hey! That's a pretty good day! Going home with a car, new to you, and an album? Not bad at all! From the perspective of things that a car dealership has given away, your album ranks pretty high I bet

  2. The Fieros were actually pretty good cars,
their catching on fire problems were almost all due to the owners running them low on oil, easy to do since the engines didnt hold much oil.

the 88 model year was all new, and by far the best.
the V-6 with a five speed manual was a good sports car, but by them it was also as expensive as the trans am sitting next to it in the showroom. the 84 FIeros cost $7K, the 88s cost $14K

and if you swapped in a Oldsmobile quad 4 engine, or the Supercharged V-6 from a Buick Park Avenue, they would fly!
GM wouldnt let Pontiac use any powerful engines in the Fiero, because that would have made it a better sports car than the Corvette,
