This does look like some of the off beat designs that were still happening during WW2. Though those stubby wings remind me of the nickname the B-26 was given because of its wings, which looked like a pair of ironing boards in comparison to its big P&W double wasp engines. They called it 'The Baltimore Whore," because it didn't have any visible means of support!
You guys are all funny. Al, your explanation cracked me up. Now on a more serious note, I see this plane has British markings, but it looks totally CGI to me. It is bad ass cool though. I wonder if something like that could actually fly? It belongs in an Indiana Jones movie, don't you think?
