have you heard of tram bowling? Looks like Ireland, England, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Vienna, Romania, and Russia are competing for hardest hits, and best brakes... even stopping on a precise point (thanks Steve!)

Hundreds of people have gathered in Brussels for a five-day festival this past weekend to attend the European Tram Driver Championship 2019, as the city celebrates the rail-based transportation system, which first appeared in the city, drawn by horses, in 1869.

It is the eighth installment of the championship, which includes events such as relay races and “tram bowling” – the footage for which has gone viral online.

The contest’s bowling event was attended by around 300 people who came to see a quirky Europe-wide event.

the Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company won the overall contest, with teams from Moscow in Russia and Oradea in Romania taking second and third respectively.
