driving cross country and running a business, out of a '59 Chevy bus they found abandoned in a field

Starling and Rein Irving are 20-year-old-ish sisters are making pilgrimages across the United States, with a collection of vintage stylish fashion treasures in this cool bus they found abandoned in a field.

“We spotted it by the highway and when we inquired the owner about it, he told us he’d sell it to us for $50.00 … It didn’t run when we first bought it but we found a similar bus from 1987 and used its parts (the engine, chassis, etc.) on the frame of the 1959 bus so even though it’s a 50s bus, it is automatic. The entire inside of the bus had to be torn out and redone. It was all done by Will Winkelman of Winkelman Architecture.”

“Our business is named after the fictional band that travels by bus in the Cameron Crowe film Almost Famous,” the girls’ explain.

These ladies decided that their passion for vintage clothing could be more than a hobby. Now, it’s opened up an entirely new way to for them to see the world, and make a buck, from the backwoods of America to the streets of New York City
