WTF is in the donuts? Or is it simply the ordinary everyday behavior of police to believe they can choke out ANYONE with zero consequences? Toss their stupid asses in jail. Just like they would us, if we went ape on them

Fullerton Police Chief David Hendricks and one of his captains, Thomas Oliveras, were forced to take a leave of absence. They got drunk and put an EMT in a chokehold when he responded to a woman who needed medical attention at a concert.

The Chief, who was drunk, shoved an EMT/Paramedic and when another EMT/Paramedic tried to intervene, the Captain -- also drunk -- put the second EMT in a chokehold.

Then they got into their city owned vehicles and drove home drunk.

The Fullerton city manager's email yesterday: “At my direction, Chief of Police David Hendricks and another officer have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an ongoing criminal investigation. This investigation is unconnected to the performance of official duties, as it relates to allegations of off-duty conduct outside of the City."

The Irvine police chief confirmed Irvine police were conducting an investigation into a reported altercation at the Five Point Amphitheatre during Friday night’s Lady Antebellum concert involving the Fullerton police chief and one of his captains. He wrote:

“…upon their arrival they contacted two emergency medical technicians who alleged two men physically assaulted them while they were attempting to provide medical aid to an injured woman.”

It turns out the injured woman was the Fullerton police chief’s wife. A source says she and her husband along with the Fullerton police captain and his wife had been drinking. The source says one of the officers put an EMT in a choke hold.

.......

Hendricks took over for former Chief Dan Hughes, who left for an executive security job at Disneyland after sending a police sergeant to give then-City Manager Joe Felz a ride home after he crashed his car into a tree on Nov. 9, 2016. The former city manager later took a plea deal on a "wet reckless'' count and was sentenced to 40 hours of community service.

Hughes took the job in 2012 from then-Acting Chief Kevin Hamilton, who took over from former Chief Michael Sellers, who went on paid medical leave following the officer-involved beating death of transient Kelly Thomas.

So you see, police work isn't what you see on the recruiting posters

I GFT that the EMTs are being talked out of pressing charges and flipping the lights on so you can see the cockroaches scatter. How? Get out of jail free card, get out of speeding tickets instantly card, and job for life with the city. If you think I'm wrong, you have never seen the drivers license stickers, and are far removed from day to day city business as usual.

Why this post? I am a fan of EMTs and Fire Dept EMTs. They only show up to help, they never assault people, like cops who assault people with chokeholds, for example.
