I just found a brochure for Smoky Mountain Tours in my Dad's old travel trunk. It featured the Packard convertible tour bus. Do you know what happened to the old buses?
I sure don't. I would not be surprised if they ended up in the recycle steel for WW2 scrap drives. A lot of old vehicles did. Can I get you to scan that brochure and share it?
My Dad drove for Smoky Mountain Tours Company from 1949 till 1971 when they shut their doors forever! He said those Packards were a beast to drive. For more pictures of SMT's Packard fleet see our Facebook page under Smoky Mountain Tours Company!
