found in a bungalow, a 149 year old railway car

No 78 is the oldest surviving Midland Railway carriage, built in 1866 during the Matthew Kirtley era, the body was recovered from a bungalow in East Bridgford, Notts. Now mated with an ex-LSWR underframe this 4 wheel, arc roof, 4 compartment third class carriage illustrates the basic nature of travel in the middle of the 19th century.
