That is certainly one unusual tractor. What happened after the trial - did John Deere ask for all five tractors to be returned? Were they destroyed, and why did this one survive?
I look forward to finding that someone else has written a blog that has that information. I simply have no answers. I posted what little there was on the internet about this tractor that I found, and did not see anything about 5 tractors, a trial, or a return of tractors. You might be reading along in context and see that many posts have led to such excellent questions, but, this post along has nothing to lead me to understand what you're referring to. And, I posted this 4 years ago. Until you asked these, I had completely forgotten the post, this tractor, etc.
