the car was crushed last week because it had no valid insurance and was a Category B vehicle - which are officially classed as unroadworthy, put back on the road with stolen parts, and legally has to be destroyed.
The alleged owner was stopped and arrested by police who told him they were seizing the vehicle because they were suspected it was stolen.
The alleged owner, Zahid Khan, is no angel... he was busted for crimes related to his property ownership when it was revealed in December 2016 he had forced tenants out of his luxury Birmingham home.
He was ordered to carry out 150 hours of community service as a result

The Wright Brothers airplane they flew at Kittyhawk did something else incredible you might not have heard of....
A piece of wing fabric and propeller wood from the Wright Flyer was taken to the Moon by Neil Armstrong, one of the crew of Apollo 11, the first lunar landing mission, in July 1969.
To say it in a more impressive way, the most famous airplane and the most famous trip to the moon have some pieces in common
Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong took this 8" x 13" piece of muslin fabric from the left wing of the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer to the moon aboard the lunar module Eagle on the first moon landing on July 20, 1969.
Armstrong was most proud of the pieces of the historic Wright Flyer that he took to the moon. Under a special arrangement with the the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton, he took in his LM PPK a piece of wood from the Wright brothers' 1903 airplane's left propeller and a piece of muslin fabric (8x13 inches) from its upper left wing.

Old bear lets the snowmobilers know he wants them to get off his lawn
Two individuals on snowmobiles were adventuring in Russia earlier this year, when they noticed a large bear close to their fishing camp. They attempted to chase the bear away and, while doing so, captured footage of the agitated creature trying to take a swing at one of the drivers.

In the difficult period after WW II, the once proud and imposing car was converted into a mobile saw vehicle in order for the owner to earn a living. The luxury car thus “abused” as a utility vehicle is a 1935 Maybach DSH of which only 50 units were built. The original price of the car was an exorbitant 25,000 Reichsmark.
Until 1986, it was owned by Mr. Georg Ewald, who worked with the wood saw vehicle till his old age. He ordered in his last will, by which he donated the Maybach saw to the Museum, that it should remain and be exhibited in unrestored condition.

Van Hool, which manufactures buses, coaches, and industrial vehicles, said it plans to invest $47 million to construct an approximately 500,000-square-foot facility in Morristown, Tennessee
A Belgian bus company coming to Morristown is expected to create nearly 640 jobs over the next five years.
The 1982 “Buy America Act” requires vehicles supplied to public authorities to be assembled in the U.S., contain 70 percent of their parts from American suppliers and 100 percent American steel, therefore obliging Van Hool to build a factory in America .
The factory in Morristown will be operational during the first quarter of 2020
The new plant will specifically manufacture public transit and commuter vehicles for U.S. transit agencies.
Van Hool will manufacture around 400 buses and commuter coaches annually for the North American public transport market.
Filip Van Hool, CEO at Van Hool, said of the decision: "We have over 30 years of experience in the North American market where we have been successful with buses and coaches for private companies. We’ve delivered over 11,000 vehicles in North America since 1987. Based on this experience and through market research, we have learned that the public transportation market, with a total annual potential of 6,000 to 8,000 vehicles, offers opportunities for Van Hool. Because of the "Buy America Act,” our family business decided to explore a new manufacturing facility in the U.S.”
The presence of highly-respected technical schools and well-trained employees, together with the support and cooperation of all the local stakeholders in Morristown, Hamblen County and Tennessee, convinced Van Hool's Executive Board to make the largest investment outside of Belgium in Van Hool’s 71-year history."
Moreover, in the run-up to starting production in Morristown, in the first quarter of 2020, a comprehensive training program is being developed for the new American employees who will come to Europe over the course of 2019.
