Ah, the days before all the electronic gizmos. I remember the Sun equipment well. So many tweaks & compromises to get an engine to be drivable on the street but give its all on the strip! Of course, if you were working on a customer's car you had to worry more about drivability & economy.There's a few of us still around that remember cleaning & gaping plugs and points; setting the timing; adjusting the dwell; adjusting the carburetor(s). How about balancing a pair of SU's! That was always a treat!
