Someone decided to purchase this '86 IROC Z as a graduation gift for their daughter. Fortunately, they “nixed it at the last minute on the drive home from the dealer.” and it was garaged... now it only has 6000 miles on it

This IROC-Z was parked in a garage for 33 years, now it's on Ebay and the reserve is about 24k https://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Chevrolet-IROC-Camaro/124422573369?hash=item1cf829cd39:g:sPIAAOSwKGxfoasa

  1. I don't understand how people can afford to buy a car and park it for years. I sort of get it for guys who buy something as an investment, but this IROC and the 280Z recently were parked for other reasons.

    1. Agreed. I've pointed out a couple of times that event he investment stored cars are big disappointments, factoring the lack of that storage space for something useful, the cost of the storage area, the lack of profit after 30-40 years of storage, and that the owner didn't get to enjoy driving the car.... with this car, why the hell didn't they sell it after 6 months or a year? They probably paid insurance on it, and registration.
