someone planned ahead when making a freeway in South Korea... the bikepath is covered with solar panels, keeping them out of the sun, and providing free (nearly, just go with it, don't nit pick on the cost of materials) electricity for lighting at night. Brilliant! Smart!
I'd say so. We could do that here, but I think the power companies would object, rather loudly.
