Google DoubleSurvivalist and there's a guy who shows how to convert one of the new shit gas cans into a functional working gas can. I converted all of mine a couple of years ago and it's easy and they work great!
You can buy normal spouts at NAPA, and buy vents on-line and install them yourself.Don in Oregon
the metal safety cans are about $50-60and thats all I use now. they dont swell, leak or crack,
