New York state reached a tragic milestone this week:
It now has more Covid-19 patients than any country in the world, aside from the United States.
The state's total of 181,026 cases, as of April 11, is higher than Spain's (161,852 cases) and Italy's (152,271), countries with populations many times larger than New York.
New York City and its suburban counties — Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland — are responsible for 93% of the statewide case count.

ReplyDeleteIt's also one of the reasons why CA has less of a problem though its population is greater than NY.

ReplyDeletePerhaps, and yet, perhaps not. No one knows if any of these people are able to quit, spend a couple months at home isolating from the rampant virus that serious struck only New York this horribly. That stat's don't lie. New York was more susceptible than anywhere else.
