The greatest opening sentence in the history of writing, is by Jennifer Steinhauer of the New York Times

just one reason emotional support dog owners should stay home. They aren't capable of dealing with problems their animals cause. After all, they already NEED emotional support on a good day when their animal HASN'T upset other people.

    1. tell me where I am wrong.
      1) people who need emotional support animals are unable to cope with life
      2) they can't deal with life when it has been a good day, without a dog, horse, cat, etc
      3) As this New York Times article clearly states, someone's dog sprayed diarrhea over lots of people.
      4) Now that lots of angry people are fit to be tied, what's that emotionally or mentally challenged person going to do to get things right? Cry?
So, summed up, they would be better off staying at home, using the phone, or facetime, or whatever and NOT bringing a mini horse on an airliner, or a peacock, or other stupid animals that are incapable of making sense of any situation that's out of control
So, since I figure you agree, then it's clear life simply sucks, and it's worse for anyone with problems.
And people with problems make life difficult for everyone around then.
And THAT is terminally stupid in an airliner at 36 thousand feet

    2. or did you forget how batshit crazy some people are? Here's a reminder https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2018/10/the-orlando-police-department-was.html of the woman with the emotional support SQUIRREL!

    3. in Jan 2018, a woman tried to bring a peacock on board a flight in Newark, New Jersey. That's just stupid

    1. yes, I posted that a couple months ago, and did indeed imagine the mess a pony would make, as you'll read at https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2019/09/a-recent-american-airlines-flight-from.html

  3. Your definition of a service animal and why people use them needs to be updated. They aren't JUST for people that are "unable to cope with life". I have a good friend that has a service animal for moments when he has a diabetic problem. When he has high or real low blood sugar. The dog is TRAINED to respond so that he lives. He has a friend with a service dog that assists when he has a seizure. The dog is trained to look a person with a phone, and retrieve help.

The use of service dogs has gone off the rails, and there should be standardized training and a certification/licensing process to ensure that the service animal can provide a service. Because I agree, Sloths or miniature horses shouldn't be allowed.

And to you point on diarrhea and the service dog spraying other passengers, yes that sucks...and yes I would be pissed. In fact, I might need a PTSD trained service dog to bounce back :)

  4. instead of reading what I wrote, instead you decided I was talking about YOUR sacred cow.
So, here.... I was talking about "EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS" you idiot.
NO WHERE did I talk about service animals. NO, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.
Service animals are needed, emotional support animals are for the needy.

  5. Did the diabetic, blind, or seizure dog ever come up in ANYTHING previous to your comment? NO
Now, go back to school for reading comprehension, and quit making shit up where I didn't bring it up.
I'm a fan of service dogs, and have posted about them, quite complimentary. If you focus on what I do (why else are you here) instead of the argument YOU want to have, things will go much smoother.
Emotional fucking support squirrels you dimwit, and peacocks, those plus the emotionally unable people who can't be in public without something that has no ability to run away, that was the topic.
Quit being argumentative, I wasn't discussing service dogs for the blind.
My definitions for service animal don't need any input from millennial snowflakes who need pink hats ans service squirrels.
I get my definitions from Noah Webster's American Dictionary of the English Language.
If you don't like that, go read some commie website instead.

  6. I won't resort to insults and personal attacks, unfortunately over the years i've seen who i'm dealing with. I'm sorry, it's what i perceived as your generalization of "people who need emotional support animals are unable to cope with life" that struck a nerve with me.

    Consider this my last post.

    1. Well whoopity doo. First you're upset that YOU mistook what I was saying for putting down service animals, when I wasn't, and NOW you're upset that I've got lunatics with emotional support squirrels pegged as crazy.
So long and farewell, I didn't invite you to pop in, and I don't need to invite you to take off because what I say on my site upsets YOU.
Good luck with your own website
