an Argentinean manufactured Ford Taunus Ghia in front of the oldest Catholic Church in Ecuador (2nd oldest in South America.) Built in 1534. Thanks Gary and Matius!

  1. That looks to me like an Argentinean manufactured Ford Taunus Ghia. There is a small Ghia badge on the side of the front fender.
Ford Taunus and Ford Cortina shared platform. To make things even more confusing Cortina was also a trim level within the Taunus lineup. You could purchase a Ford Taunus Cortina and later you could also get a Ford Taunus TC (TC was short for Taunus Cortina or Taunus Coupe).
Sometimes it looks like car manufacturers go out of their way to make naming conventions extra confusing!
