nice way to advertise a car... show how good looking it is

  1. $2555, for a nice car! I don't feel they ever got proper credit. You don't see them very often. Come to think of it, I don't ever recall seeing one on Barrett or Meacum

  2. The Cougar is a great car but check out the super rare and expensive Facel Vega below it!

  3. Front and center is a Facel Vega. I can only wonder what they were asking for it, and what was it traded in on.

  4. OOOPS. Perhaps I got it wrong. Is this the lot of the dealership, or just a parking lot?
Either way, there is a Facel Vega there. Rare then, More rare now.

  5. a junkyard near me when I was a kid in the 80s, had at least two Facels , and a couple of shelby mustangs.
every car thats valuable now, was at one time, just a worn out used junker that nobody wanted. I remember seeing 69 GTO Judges sell for $1,600. Ive seen 440 4 speed Super Bees sell for $1,300, Ive seen Daytonas and Superbirds sell for $3,000

    1. Good grief, that was a pretty cool junkyard!
If I recall correctly, the Facel Vega had a 392 hemi. A nice reason to buy one from a junkyard
Yeah, musclecars sure hit a depressed value in the 70s

    2. Facels used whatever Chrysler engine was current. An acquaintance has a 1961 Facel with a 361 wedge in it. Hemis ended after 1958.
