how is that trailer attached to the Vespa, and will it just beat the hell out of the Vespa during braking and accelerating?

Maxx knew the answer, Stabil, by Marchetti.

The braking system is implemented through an inertia system: during deceleration, the trailer wheel advances, applying the controls that actuate the drum brakes on the wheels.

    Thanks a bunch! I've never heard of or seen of the Marchetti brake system! I love this hobby, something new nearly every day that has been part of the vehicle world for decades, but is something new to me that I've never run across before
