They certainly have some big-name actors in this series. I noticed Helen Mirren in the middle of this trailer, and they have Rita Moreno and Brie Larson, too.
At the very beginning of the trailer, the electric Charger Daytona is on the left side of the screen. I saw some articles saying that Dom drives it in this movie.
I can't find the picture now, but I recently saw a picture of Dom's black Charger with the hood open, and the supercharger was just bolted on to the top of the hood. They probably have a few different ones for filming, but it looked silly to me,.
well, it's only for show... they did that famous wheelie in the first movie, about 20 years ago, by weighing down the trunk so it couldn't do anything else when accelerating. I am fine with the goofy spectacle of it all. I'm not surprised they didn't have a real supercharger on that, I've only seen a couple dozen supercharged hot rods, and they usually run quite choppy... when Idling about. I've never seen one do anything else, just idle around. So, getting back to the celeb factor.... Larson and Morena are new to the series, as is Mamoa, and I think that's a good idea. Gal Gadot was a great addition years ago. Some new faces are a nice thing. Heck, I remember being shocked that they'd gotten Helen Mirren! Terrific casting as Statham's mom.
