1966 396 3spd Biscayne has been sitting since 1982, finally getting attention during quarantine (how long has it been since you heard of, 1) a Biscayne 2) anyone getting that car running that's been sitting on their property for 38 years? )

  1. I love the tach mounted on the column with three on the tree. When I was a kid it was usually a Sun and mounted with a BIG ole hose clamp! I can remember slamming it from first into second gear. That was the only real action you got on a column shift. Hahaha, Jesse it's simple little things like that you post that revives great memories. Thanks!

  2. Should have mentioned for someone who has never driven a column shift. Going from first to second on the column was the equivalent of going from second to third on a floor shift!

  3. I'm old enough to remember that any guy driving a car like this would have felt like a loser because a) not a hardtop b) dog dish hubcaps c) column shifter. Now we look at it and think its the coolest thing ever. Interesting combination of bottom of the ladder as far as models go, but its a 2 door and has a 396. Someone ordered a sleeper? Or maybe it was for towing?
