this... really is a DeLorean. DeLorean partnered with his brother Jack to build four go-kart tracks in Michigan, and they stocked the grids with fleets of 20 HP, 3/4-size open-wheel racers. Thank you Doug!

the 97 Firehawk was a rare Firebird that a lot of people might not remember, made by SLP Engineering but sold through Pontiac's official dealer network, that had a special engine (the ZR1 Vette motor)
The 1997 models came fitted with the LT4 V8 out of the Corvette Grand Sport, which makes it extra special. The fast-revving LT4 in the Firehawk has 330 horsepower. These engines have reworked ports, increased-flow-rate injectors, a high-lift cam, larger valves, plus the benefit of higher-compression pistons. SLP Engineering managed to get hold of the last 150 of these blueprint units, says Motor Trend, fitting them to a few 30th-anniversary Camaros, and keeping the rest for Firehawks. The fitment of a Borg-Warner six-speed is the cherry on the cake for this '90s modern classic muscle car.
It's worth noting that all 29 LT4 Firebird Firehawks were outfitted with the Six-Speed manual. The same is true for all 100+ Camaros rolling with the LT4 engine that year.

I had no idea that Ford made a ’63 Hi-Po Fairlane. A hi po 289 the 4 door... unusual combo, but, I guess you could order about any combo of trim lines and engines. If you'd buy it, they'd sell it. But only 2 were made. Only this one survived
This engine was based up on the small-block V-8s that had debuted in the Fairlane line in 1962, but besides being punched out to a larger displacement, it also had cast-iron headers, solid lifters, a nodular iron crankshaft, high-performance connecting rods, a wider harmonic dampener, a dual-point ignition system, Autolite 4100 series four-barrel carburetor, a hot camshaft and screw-in rocker-arm studs, among other performance goodies. These tricks brought the Hi-Po 289-cid V-8’s performance potential to 271 hp
only one other four-door sedan with this engine had been produced in 1963, but it had been scrapped before it could be saved — likely for its valuable engine and drivetrain.
This leaves this Hi-Po 289 Fairlane 500 as the sole surviving K-code four-door.
the Hi-Po 289 was the same engine supplied to Carroll Shelby for use in Cobras
I did NOT know the Hi Po 289 was a solid lifter cast iron header engine!

Ever hear of a Super Quad? Not me. I love this hobby, learning new stuff all the time
Flowed 1250, and this was the rear in a dual quad set.
This was prepped by Dick Harrell.
The SuperQuads are rare, only made for 2 years, 1969 and 1970, and only available over the counter.
They were 850 and 1000cfm in stock form respectively.

1926 Packard with an interesting factory feature, that's dangerous to have functional now, the Fuelizer, a 1920 invention
the Packard Automobile Company engineers perfected a device which is simple and solved the problem of heating the 1920s low-grade of gasoline to insure complete combustion.
The Fuelizer consisted of a chamber surrounding the intake manifold, in which a small amount of gasoline is exploded and then drawn into the manifold thus raising the temperature of the gas to a high degree.
The gasoline is drawn into the Fuelizer chamber by a small pipe leading from below the butterfly valve, is circulated at high velocity in the chamber by the explosion caused by the spark plug in the chamber, and then goes through a small opening into the manifold where the usual wet and cold mixture from the carburetor is converted into superheated gas which explodes entirely upon ignition.

It's a constant source of enjoyment to me to learn about cool late 60s stuff, like this rare Cyclone GT 500 sales promotion - The Atlanta 500 Driveaway Program, part of the NASCAR race track promotional programs Mercury ran back in 1968 and 1969.
If you purchased one of these specials you received two tickets to the Atlanta 500 on March 31, 1968, a Mercury race jacket and hat. The selling dealer drove the lucky buyers to the track where they would take delivery of their new car.
There were 160 GT 500s delivered that day!
Once at the track the new owners were treated to breakfast and photo opps with Cale, Lee Roy and Tiny Lund. The new owners took delivery on the track in front of the 80,000 race fans and then took two laps around the Atlanta race track with Cale Yarborough leading them!
The Cougar GT 500 was taken to the NASCAR Charlotte 600 race on Memorial Day weekend in 1968.

1 of 6 specially made "Broadmoor Skyview" 59 Cadillac limos commissioned by the Broadmoor Resort, with only 10,460 miles
The Broadmoor is an iconic Colorado Springs resort, historic and the longest running Forbes 5 star, AAA five diamond resort. It opened in 1918, and among other interesting things, commissioned Maxfield Parrish (one of my favorites https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search?q=maxfield ) to craft a painting of the hotel.
the Broadmoor Hotel capitalized on Pike's Peak with the race to the top, and the cog railway up the 14,115 foot mountain.
Frederick Law Olmsted’s firm, most famous for designing Central Park, designed The Broadmoor’s grounds
