since the article states this an an 800 pound car, and a real Pagani Zonda weighs 2700 pounds, it's certain that this is gutted, no power train or seats, etc. nothing under the skin

The Italian hypercar crashed in Aalen, between the villages of Burgstall and Birkhau in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, last Friday morning

 According to the police, the 37-year-old test driver lost control of the car during a sharp acceleration shortly after he missed the construction work on the road.

you can lease a Pagani Huayra... but it might be cheaper to buy one instead, and sell it after a year or two

I just was emailed (blind marketing I suppose) that to lease a Pagani, you will need a down payment of $700,000 and contract for a 60-month lease term at $25,339 per month.

So... really, anyone who can afford to give away 3/4 of a million, to lease a car... is probably just going to buy it instead. Just my opinion, but with the factual numbers

step two, tilt it up and extend the top... slide it back like taking one card from the top of the deck without looking

Step 3, act like you do this everyday. It's true, no one drives a Pagani. They probably can't find an insurance company that will handle the risk

Is anyone selling millionaires ridiculous cars paying attention? Just how do you talk a rich person into blowing a fortune on a Pagani, when it's not as fast as a Honda that costs 1/10th as much.

You could buy 2 Honda Type Rs, and still have enough to buy a house, and pay for race day, all for the cost of one Pagani that isn't replaceable.

Horacio Pagani, the billionaire whisperer

Builder of the Zonda and Huayra, he had a humble and obscure beginning in Argentina in 1955.

He studied Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering at different universities, then worked on various projects, including furniture design, motor-home and camper design and construction from the mid 70s to the early 80s.

He moved to Italy in 1983, and by '84 he was working with Lamborghini on the various versions of the Countach and Diablo.

Lamborghini wasn't smart enough to get the machinery needed to build some parts themselves, so he split, and went into business making parts that Lamborghini, and other companies, needed at that level of supercar engineering. (Ferrari, Nissan, Renault, Aprilia)

Pagani made 33 cars in 2014.
