someone found a Hudson Italia in bad condition and sold it on BAT...

It was displayed at the 1954 Paris Motor Show before being first registered in 1955 in Sweden, where it passed through several owners through the 1970s.

 The car then spent 22 years under the stewardship of one Swedish owner before being purchased by its current owner and imported to the US in 1999.

This photo is an exploded view of an actual B-29, showing many of the main components, and the companies that made each, is new info to me!

The Chrysler DeSoto nose section is separated from the Goodyear built bomb bay fuselage sections.

 The Hudson built rear fuselage sections with the Goodyear vertical and horizontal tail and control surfaces can be seen. 

The main wing center section was built by Martin Omaha but the outer wing section components built by Hudson are visible. 

The Fisher Body engine nacelles have Chrysler built engine cowlings attached. Frigidaire props are off the Dodge built engines.

I've never seen photos of the Gilmore Grand Canyon Economy Run before, it was 595-mile drive from Los Angeles to the Grand Canyon.

Bob Estes grew up a car-crazy youth in Los Angeles who would own a couple gas stations, that he would sell in 1937, and go on to run a Hollywood Hudson dealership and later his own Lincoln-Mercury dealership.

Through the latter, he built many a car - oftentimes in conjunction with Bill Stroppe - to compete at Indianapolis, in La Carrera Panamericana, at Bonneville and in economy runs, with a number of noteworthy drivers.

Fast time lapse of 4 weeks of finishing a Hudson project someone stalled on

I'd like to point out that if this crew can do this much work, and finish a car in 4 weeks, I can see no reason why any shop of decent quality, can not do the very same work, with the same number of guys, in about the same time.... instead of the typical 6 to 18 months. That's bullshit.
